Fair — teams are split into equal strength bands and everyone gets exactly one from each band. Balanced squads all round: nobody lands all the giants, nobody gets stuck with all the minnows. Lowest drama.

Weighted — favourites are far likelier to be drawn (top tier ~8× a minnow). One player can luck into France + Brazil while another gets a weak bag. Swingy, classic pub-sweepstake feel.

Random — every remaining team has an equal chance each spin, no strength bias at all. Pure luck.

Points — your teams earn points for goals, wins, clean sheets and bonuses for reaching each knockout round. Rewards teams that perform, even ones that go out early.

Survival — you're ranked on how many of your teams are still alive and how deep they go. Rewards backing teams that last, not flashy early form.

Both — Points and Survival added into one number. A single winner: the player whose squad both racks up points and survives deep. (Default.)
